Study aims:
The aims of this degree are:
to give specialised post-graduate agricultural management and research training;
to train the student such that he/she can integrate, communicate and apply the principles, concepts and knowledge of agricultural and management sciences;
to enhance the student's research abilities so that he/she can qualify as a specialist in this subject.

Research is currently speficially done on precision farming.

A student registering for the M.Agric. degree by submitting a dissertation (120 credits) uses the following code: LBB700.
|
Students with a B.Agric. Hons. degree must do a dissertation (LBB700)
OR a script (LBB791 - 60 credits) plus two examination pa0pers of three hours each in the following subjects:
LBB701: Research Methodology (30 credits).
LBB702: Strategic and Risk Management (30 credits).

Students who are in possession of a B.Agric. degree of other equivalent qualification, can enter for the M.Agric. study in Agricultural Management, provided that:

LBB703 and LBB704 (60 credits each, one examination paper of 4 hours in each module);
OR
LBB701 and LBB702 (30 credits each, one examination paper of three hours in each module)
plus LBB703 and LBB704 (60 credits each, one examination paper of 4 hours in each module)
plus the script, LBB791 (60 credits).

Candidates who passed the prescribed modules, but does not fulfil the requirements for doing the script or dissertation, can apply that the B.Agric.Hons. degree will be awarded to them.
